How the "ÄKKI SÄKKI" came into being.

My name is Thomas from Berlin, and as a passionate photographer, I always have my camera with me so I don't miss any special moment that I want to capture on camera.
Sometimes it has to happen very quickly.
That's why I usually hang my camera around my neck, within easy reach. I've found that conventional camera bags rarely allow for easy and quick access. Furthermore, they're usually too large and bulky to always wear around my neck. Because I still didn't want to forgo a certain level of protection for my valuable camera, I looked for a practical solution to the problem. I wanted permanent, lightweight protection for my camera without having to forgo my immediate photo-readiness. Without a case, the camera would be constantly exposed to environmental influences like dust, dirt, and moisture, and it would rub against clothing, which could cause wear and damage.

Since I couldn't find a bag anywhere that met these requirements, I developed a model myself.
A lot of research, testing with various prototypes and technical know-how were necessary to implement the project.
My family and friends encouraged me. I was able to draw on their professional expertise, find a particularly suitable fabric after a long search, and then, with professional support, design and have the final ÄKKI SÄKKI made.

The result: The “ÄKKI SÄKKI”!

ÄKKI SÄKKI is Finnish and means “quick bag”.
With the ÄKKI SÄKKI, you can leave your camera packed until the decisive moment. You'll still be ready to react to any spontaneous moment and take a photo in seconds, whether you're taking a walk in the woods with your dog, strolling through a flea market, or meeting up with friends in the park. The ÄKKI SÄKKI can be removed from the camera in a snap and quickly and easily slipped back on. You can even use it as a protective mat when you need to put it down for a short time.
Furthermore, the ÄKKI SÄKKI is very inconspicuous; hardly anyone would suspect a camera inside.
The ÄKKI SÄKKI is handcrafted locally in Berlin in a small workshop for a fair wage.
